2025-26 Food Services and Free/Reduced Meal Applications

The Green Brook Township school district is committed to providing healthy meals—including breakfast AND lunch in both buildings—and participates in the National School Lunch Program.
Student lunches will be $4.85 this year. Breakfast will be available again at IEF for $3.25, and this year breakfast will also be served at GBMS for $3.50. Along with daily meal options, there will be several promotional meals throughout the year.
Debit accounts may be established using the PaySchools Parent Site. If you have not used the service before, you will first need to establish an account, and then link the account to your student(s). Instructions for doing so are on the PayForIt site under the “How Do I…” menu. To link your student's account, you will need the student ID. This is unique for each student and can be found in the parent portal in the “Other Student Data” tab. Documentation is available on our Food Services page.
NOTE: All students will be issued IDs on the first day of school. These IDs are used to access their meal debit accounts. While IEF students' homeroom teachers will assist with IDs and keep them in the building, GBMS students are responsible for their own badges. Please ensure your GBMS students have their IDs with them daily. Lost IDs can be replaced by contacting the main office.
Families in certain financial circumstances may qualify for free and/or reduced-price meals, which includes breakfast and lunch. All families will be given an opportunity to complete an online application for free meals as part of the annual Parent Portal opening. When you log in to review your child’s information, you will be prompted to complete an Online Free and Reduced Lunch Application.
If you are certain you do not qualify (see PDF packet for income guidelines) or do not wish to apply, click the Decline Application button. Otherwise, click Apply and follow the prompts. We strongly encourage all families to apply.
Additionally, offline applications suitable for printing are attached in both English and Spanish. If you are more comfortable with a printed version, you can print and complete the application and return it to Ms. Barbara Piesche, Assistant to the School Business Administrator, Green Brook Township School District, 132 Jefferson Ave., Green Brook, NJ 08812, 732-968-1171, bpiesche@gbtps.org. Do not complete the online application and a printed copy. Please just submit one or the other.
You may also contact Ms. Piesche if you require a printed copy.
Note that all applications are strictly confidential.
Families who are pre-qualified will not see the application in their portal. Note that siblings who were not in the district the prior two school years will not automatically be eligible, and parents/guardians should apply as soon as possible.
