The Green Brook Township Board of Education is seeking qualified candidates to fill a vacancy on the Board. This is an exceptional opportunity for a committed individual to contribute to the educational advancement of our community.
Responsibilities:
The Board of Education is responsible for the overall governance of the school district. Duties include:
- Establishing policies and strategic priorities for the district.
- Approving the annual budget and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Hiring and evaluating the Superintendent of Schools.
- Advocating for the needs of students, staff, and the community.
- Maintaining a strong commitment to academic excellence and equity.
Qualifications:
Candidates for the Board of Education must meet the following criteria:
- Be a United States citizen.
- Be a resident of Green Brook Township for at least one year.
- Be able to read and write.
- Be registered to vote in the district.
- Not hold any other elected office or be employed by the district.
- Complete a background check within 30 days of appointment.

The letter of interest should highlight the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and reasons for seeking this position. Interviews will be held during the Wednesday, January 22, 2025 Board meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Green Brook Middle School
